The Notre Dame tunnel job was 15,000 feet. He worked on others as well plus the Louis Hipployte Lafontaine Tunnel (I realize that is in a different dimension.) Fonds Victor Landriault, CCA. The inflation in the cost of infrastructure construction has probably been much more pronounced than that though. You're right that this really was a massive undertaking, on a much grander scale than Toronto's "25-year plan" for sewer improvement that began to be implemented around the same time. I'll have to look into the one you mentioned though. I'd like to try and get inside the Decarie Raimbault, but I'm still trying to find a convenient spot to get inside of it. Have you explored the old NDG Collector Sewer ?? I beleive it runs along Clanranald to the Back River { Now mNorth Interceptor}. I beleive that it is 11x11 but not big enough and that is why they constructed the Decarie Raimbault. Keep up the good work, but be careful, its dangerous business ! I have had a keen interest in the history of the construction of the Montreal Sewer and Water vinfrastructure. Our co citizens do not realise the magnitude of what has been built over generations !
